Insert the eight Orange LEDs making sure that you have the longer lead toward the bottom of the board.  There is also a flat indentation on one side of the LED which should be pointing up.  Make sure that the LED is completely flat on the board.  Turn the board over and solder one lead of each LED.  Turn the board and carefully inspect the LEDs to make sure that they are all still flat on the board and facing straight ahead.  It often helps to put your finger on the LED and push it against the board while soldering to ensure it is straight.  Once you are happy that it is right, solder the other pins and then trim.

 It is definitely worth double checking to ensure that the LED is in the proper orientation and is in the right spot flat on the board.
